about me
My name is Tonya and I am so excited to work with you and help you navigate your conflict .My love for mediations started in 2019 when I had divorce mediations at a local law office. The process was quick, easy and I made my own parenting plan that worked for the both of us. I left that mediation appointment desperately wanting a career in law so that I could hold mediations and help others. I studied for the LSAT( law school admissions test ) for a year . I took the test and I passed.I then applied to law school and met with the recuiter who very politely informed me that after all of the work I had done I did not need law school to do mediations. (I should had known this because no legal advice is allowed during a mediation session).I only needed the degree That I already had and then needed to obtain my certificate. My back ground is Psychology with a empasis in research and statistics 2013 and my conflict resolution certificate was earned through Seeds in Berkley california in 2019. I am now officially launching my practice online, through Zoom with evening, weekends and afterhours to make this a easy process for everyone involved. At Hatter Family Mediations and conflict resolutions, the mission is to provide effective mediation solutions that promote understanding and resolution. I believe in fostering open communication to help families navigate conflicts peacefully.
